The verbenone chemotype of rosemary originates from South Africa, is rather mild and is well suited as an additive for massages. Organic rosemary supports concentration and memory. Although this type of rosemary contains a ketone “verbenone”, the essential oil is non-toxic and quite mild. For precautionary reasons, however, it should not be used for children under the age of 6.
