Grapefruit Citrus paradisi
The grapefruit, botanically known as Citrus paradisi, belongs to the rue family (Rutaceae) and grows in sunny regions of the world, particularly in the USA and the Mediterranean. The grapefruit tree grows up to 5 meters tall, has glossy, dark green leaves, white blossoms, and large, round, juicy fruits. Grapefruit essential oil is obtained by cold-pressing the peel and is characterized by its fruity, fresh, clear, and sweet citrus scent.
