Basic recipes for essential oils
Flavored drinks
Dissolve 1 drop of flavoring in 1 tablespoon of emulsifier (agave syrup, honey, lemon juice), then add 250-1000 ml of water or tea. No additional emulsifiers are needed when using alcohol or (plant-based) milk.
Aromatic marinades
Mix 1 drop of orange or lemon juice with 3 tablespoons of olive oil, garlic and lemon juice to create a fine marinade for tofu or vegetables, fish or meat.
Desserts and pastries
Orange, lemon, and cookies add even more flavor to pastries, cakes, or desserts. One drop of your chosen flavoring usually dissolves well in 250-500g of dough, or you can dilute it beforehand in one of the ingredients such as fat, (plant-based) milk, or eggs.
Dips and (salad) sauces
No lemon on hand? A drop of lemon extract is especially delicious in refreshing salad dressings and dips. One drop of orange oil enhances a classic hollandaise sauce just as much as one drop of lemon in a cream sauce.
