Lavender fine – Lavandula angustifolia
The "fine lavender," botanically known as "Lavandula angustifolia," is also called true lavender. This aromatic shrub can grow up to 100 centimeters tall and belongs to the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is originally native to the coastal regions of the Mediterranean. Lavender oil, the natural essential oil of the lavender plant, is one of the medicinal plants with the broadest spectrum of effects and is a proven remedy for inner restlessness and stress.

Lavender oil in aromatherapy

The psychological effects of lavender oil
The relaxing properties of lavender oil are well-documented scientifically. Even simple applications (e.g., on the pillow, in an inhaler, or in an oil burner) can help reduce stress and anxiety. Its high linalyl acetate content is responsible for its calming properties. This soothing lavender oil is particularly valued for its benefits in treating sleep disorders.

The physical effects of lavender oil
Lavender oil is more than just a fragrant relaxation aid; it belongs in every home medicine cabinet. Applied externally, it can promote skin regeneration. Medical literature recommends its use for itching after insect bites, abrasions, sunburn, and other problematic skin conditions, as well as for muscle tension. Always refer to the dilution chart.
