Rosmarinus officinalis ct. Cineole
Rosemary belongs to the mint family (Lamiaceae) and is native to the Mediterranean region. The essential oil is obtained from the leaves by steam distillation. The cineole chemotype is characterized by its high 1,8-cineole content. A chemotype (ct.) describes a specific chemical composition within the same plant species. Depending on location, climate, and soil conditions, a plant can develop different main active ingredients, which influences its effects and uses.
