Liver wrap

Leberwickel

Liver wrap

This simple liver compress with rosemary gently supports the metabolism and the body's natural detoxification processes. It has a relaxing effect on the autonomic nervous system and thus helps to relieve the burden on the immune system. Both rosemary CT cineole and CT verbenone are described as liver-strengthening. Therefore, this recipe requires using either one.

Products

30 ml Sesame oil
8 drops Rosemary CT verbenone or cineole
4 drops Lavender fine
1 Small cloth (e.g. dish towel or terry towel)
1 Dry, larger towel
1 Hot water bottle or heat pack

Instructions

  1. Gently mix 30 ml of sesame oil with 8 drops of rosemary cineole or verbenone and 4 drops of lavender, swirling the mixture gently.

  2. Apply ½ tablespoon of the liver oil to the liver area (below the right rib cage). Soak the small cloth in warm water, wring it out well, and place it on the liver area. Then wrap or cover it with a dry, warm towel and keep it warm with a hot water bottle or a heat pack.

  3. Leave your liver compress on your skin for about 40 minutes, then be sure to rest for another half hour. Especially in the evening before bed, the warm compress is very soothing and promotes sleep.
