Smell training
Smell training with essential oils stimulates the olfactory cells to regenerate if the sense of smell has been impaired by viral or other diseases.
Tips:
- Perform olfactory training in the morning and evening.
- It is recommended to use the essential oils in the smelling stick to avoid overdosing due to impaired olfactory perception.
- To assess your own perception and track progress, a table for documenting olfactory intensity is helpful. We provide the table at www.farfalla.ch/de/meta/kataloge-broschuren

| 3 drops | Lavender organic essential oil |
| 3 drops | Red mandarin organic essential oil |
| 3 drops | Peppermint Grand Cru organic essential oil |
| 3 drops | Cinnamon bark organic essential oil |
| 1 piece | Smelling stick (inhaler tubes) set in 5 colors |
Instructions
- Add 3-5 drops of each of the four essential oils to a separate inhaler and label it immediately.
- Perform smell training twice daily – morning and evening: Sniff for 15-30 seconds, saying the plant's name, visualizing a picture of the plant, or looking at its photo.
- Pause for one minute between each of the four scent perceptions.
